We like to avoid the masses of post-Christmas discount hunter shoppers by selecting our threads early. Although, the crowds may have noticeably shrunken as Michael Barbaro reported in today’s New York Times, “the nations merchants began poring – or weeping – over holiday sales receipts Wednesday.” This devastating fashion industry news, “Major Retailers Feel the Squeeze,” received NYT front page coverage – eek! – hang in there guys! Even with the economy harshly affecting the usual throngs of clearance-rack vultures, we still feel it best to avoid this holiday rush by getting the good stuff pre-xmas rush. (After all, it is the law of the universe – The early bird gets the most fashion forward worm! – or something like that…)
